Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the legal notice of this website.

Your data is collected when you provide it to us. This could be data that you enter into a contact form, for example.

You always have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge. You also have the right to request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. General Information and Mandatory Information

Data Protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Notice Concerning the Party Responsible for This Website

The party responsible for processing data on this website is:

Datenmassiv GmbH

Zeitblomstraße 31/2

89073 Ulm

Germany

Phone: +49 151 2066 9066

Email: ki-mentor@datenmassiv.com

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (names, email addresses, etc.).

Content Analysis (AI-Assisted Text Evaluation)

Scope of Data Processing

When you submit a text or a web address (URL) for evaluation through our application, the submitted content — or the content publicly available at that URL — is analyzed for persuasion and manipulation techniques using AI-assisted language models. The purpose of this processing is to promote media literacy by making linguistic mechanisms of influence visible.

Legal Basis

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you actively give before each analysis. Where an analysis is carried out without separate consent, we base it on our legitimate interest in operating the service pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

What Data Is Stored / Retention

The submitted full text is not stored permanently. We permanently store only the calculated result (score), abstract summaries, short quotations that justify the detected techniques, and technical processing metrics. A shortened excerpt of the analyzed content may be retained temporarily to display the result. The content transmitted for analysis is processed by our service providers only temporarily to carry out the analysis.

Uploaded Files (Source Check)

In the source check, signed-in users can upload their own files (PDF, DOCX or TXT) as the text to check or as a source. Before each upload you confirm that you may use the file because it is your own, private, or publicly available anyway. The file is kept in non-public storage assigned to your account. Other users cannot access it; it is processed only automatically to carry out the source check and, where necessary for operation and maintenance, by the operator. It is neither shared with others nor added to the shared archive of official documents. If the source check is unlocked for your account or one of your organisations, the file is kept until your account is deleted; otherwise it is deleted 30 days after the upload. Unlike the content analysis described above, the text checked and the result of a source check remain stored in your account until your account is deleted.

Live Check (Source Check)

Accounts for which the source check is unlocked can have a public broadcast, or an interview to which every person speaking has agreed, transcribed while it plays. The sound is sent in sections of about 30 seconds to the provider of the language model and processed there for transcription. KI-Mentor does not store the sound, neither as a file nor in the database or in logs. What is stored is the transcript with speaker labels and time marks, the title and address of the broadcast where you give them, your confirmations with their time and, for an interview, the details of the consent (name or role of the persons, form and time). The transcript is visible to your account only and is deleted 30 days after the live check ends, together with the details of the consent.

Recipients / Processors

To carry out the analysis, we use carefully selected service providers as processors (Art. 28 GDPR), in particular:

  • providers of AI-assisted language models to analyze the content,
  • a service for extracting publicly available web content (when a URL is submitted),
  • hosting and infrastructure providers for operating the application.

Data processing agreements are in place with these service providers.

Transfer to Third Countries

Insofar as individual service providers process personal data outside the EU or the EEA, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses) or an adequacy decision.

Data Minimization

Entering personal data is not required for the analysis. Please do not enter any personal data about yourself or third parties into the input field. At exhibition stations, input is limited to publicly available web addresses (URLs).

Revocation of Consent

You can revoke consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected.

Web Analytics with Google Analytics 4

Scope of Data Processing

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help analyze how you use the website.

IP Anonymization

Google Analytics 4 anonymizes your IP address by default. Your full IP address is not transmitted to Google servers. Anonymization occurs before the data is sent to Google.

Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure that Google Analytics only collects personal data when you have explicitly consented. Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set and no personal data is transmitted to Google.

Cookie Consent Mechanism

When you first visit our website, you will be asked for your consent via a cookie banner. You can choose between the following options:

  • Accept all — Essential and analytics cookies are activated.
  • Essential only — No analytics cookies are set.
  • Settings — You can selectively enable or disable individual cookie categories.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is automatically applied on future visits.

Objection and Revocation

You can revoke your consent at any time by deleting the stored cookie settings in your browser. To do this, open your browser’s developer tools (F12), navigate to “Application” → “Local Storage” and delete the “cookie-consent” entry. The cookie banner will be displayed again on your next visit.

You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Legal Basis

The use of Google Analytics is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
